Invisalign® in Surrey, BC

Everyone wants to have great-looking teeth, but many people are not born with them. Fortunately, our Surrey Dentist at King George Dental Centre in Surrey, BC can help their patients get the teeth they want. If they have bite misalignments or crooked teeth, our dentist Newton Surrey can recommend Invisalign®️ clear aligners to straighten their smiles.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign®️ are clear plastic aligners that help straighten crooked teeth or realign bites. If you have an overbite, underbite, or any other type of bite that doesn’t line up correctly, then our dentist in V3W 5A5 will recommend the aligners to their patients who can benefit from them.

The only patients for whom invisalign surrey might not work are those with severely crooked teeth or bite misalignments. To find us, simply search for ‘Invisalign near me’ and ‘dentist open on Saturday near me’.

How does Invisalign® Straighten Teeth?

The clear aligners come in sets of trays that you wear for about two weeks. Each tray in the set gets progressively tighter to help move your teeth into their correct positions. Your teeth move about 1/10 millimeter per tray until your teeth are properly aligned.

Then, when you finish with a set, our dentists at King George Dental Centre will measure your teeth to discover if they are in the correct position. If they are where the dentists near you in Surrey, BC expect them to be, then you will get the next set to wear.

However, if the teeth are not in their correct position, then you will need to wear the same set again to move your teeth into correct positions.

How Do Dentists Measure Teeth for Invisalign®?

To correctly measure your teeth so that the trays fit comfortably, our dentists scan your teeth using the Invisalign® system. Then, they send the scans to the dental laboratory responsible for manufacturing the trays. When the first set of trays arrive at our facilities, an appointment is a set-up for you to come in for a fitting.

Once our dentist near you at King George Dental Centre check the fit of the trays, you can go home wearing them. Each tray should stay on your teeth for 22 of the 24 hours every day, so you can take them out to eat, brush your teeth, or to play sports. Once you wear all the trays, your teeth should be aligned correctly, and you will have a beautiful smile.
