Meet The Team

Mariya brings more than four years of dental hygiene experience, has a foreign bachelor’s degree in dentistry and one year work experience as a general dentist at a district hospital in Pakistan. She got awards in the subjects of Prosthodontics and Operative dentistry and also some experience in teaching Oral Medicine, in Pakistan.

Here in Canada, she pursued her career and her passion to provide optimal oral health, by completing three years diploma in dental hygiene from Vancouver Community College in 2019 and securing the academic achievement award.

During her work experience she has developed skills in providing oral care services to people with a variety of oral health needs and is constantly striving to stay current with changing oral health trends and advancement in dental care. Besides her background knowledge, fine clinical skills and very gentle hands, her other strongest attributes are being able to show empathy towards a patient’s individual needs. She is able to use her communication skills and passionate attitude to make the most anxious of patients feel at ease and strives to make each visit comfortable and pleasant for every patient. She can speak and communicate in English, Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi and Pashto.

Mariya lives in Cloverdale with her husband, three children and a cat. In her spare time she enjoys succulent gardening, spending time with her family and travelling.
